Planning to buy a new air conditioner or refrigerator in Malaysia? You may be eligible to enjoy an additional RM200 discount under the NUR@PETRA 2026 programme.
NUR@PETRA, or Program Nikmat Untuk Rakyat, is an energy-efficiency rebate programme under the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), implemented by Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia.
For the NUR: DOMESTIK 2026 category, eligible Malaysian households can receive an RM200 e-Rebate when purchasing selected 4-star or 5-star energy-efficient air conditioners or refrigerators. The programme runs from 1 July until 31 December 2026, subject to available quota on a first come, first served basis.
Who Is Eligible for the RM200 NUR@PETRA Rebate?
According to SEDA Malaysia, applicants must generally be:
Malaysian citizens
Registered users or owners of a domestic electricity account
Applicants who have not previously claimed NUR@PETRA in 2025
Limited to one RM200 e-Rebate for one eligible appliance per electricity account
Eligible electricity accounts include domestic accounts registered with utilities such as TNB, SESB, Sarawak Energy and Nur Power.
What Appliances Can You Buy?
For NUR: DOMESTIK 2026, the RM200 rebate applies specifically to selected:
4-Star or 5-Star Energy-Efficient Air Conditioners
or
4-Star or 5-Star Energy-Efficient Refrigerators
The exact model must be included in SEDA's approved NUR@PETRA product list.
How Does the RM200 Rebate Work?
The best part is that you do not have to wait months for cashback.
Once your eligibility is verified, the RM200 is deducted directly during your purchase.
For example:
Appliance price: RM2,000
NUR@PETRA e-Rebate: RM200
You pay: RM1,800
For purchases at a registered physical retailer, customers should bring their MyKad and a domestic electricity bill from the latest three months for verification.
